Nausea and vomiting in pregnancy, also known as morning sickness, is common during the first trimester. It’s thought hormonal changes in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy are probably one of the causes of morning sickness. Around half of all pregnant women experience vomiting, and more than 80% of women (80 out of 100) experience nausea in the first 12 weeks.
There is not much that doctors can do to help with morning sickness, so they usually suggest home remedies and changes to your daily life to help reduce your symptoms.

Of course, hypnosis is not a miracle cure for morning sickness. Regular medical check-ups are important if you are experiencing morning sickness, frequent vomiting can lead to dehydration and malnutrition that could put the baby’s health at risk. Some women get a very severe form of nausea and vomiting called hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), which can be very serious.
